When Mount Fuji Is Most Visible
- Early mornings in winter (December-February), when the air is clear, often give the sharpest views.
- In summer, clouds often rise and hide the mountain by midday. Get moving early in the morning.
- On windless mornings, you may even see "Upside-down Fuji" reflected in the lake.
Live Cam Tips
- Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Yamanaka face different sides of the mountain, so some days only one side is cloudy.
- During climbing season (usually July to early September), the weather near the summit changes quickly, so check the official climbing information as well.
